Particle diameter and Morphology of In2O4MoO4: EU

The size of phosphor particle diameter is very important for the packaging of LED chip. If the particle size is too large,it will cause waste of phosphor powder and increase the production cost. Most importantly,the large particles of powder block the light emitted by the LED chip, which reduces the luminous efficiency of the chip. If the particle size is too small, it is difficult to improve the luminescence intensity of the phosphor. As for white LED, inappropriate particle size will make the brightness of white light decrease. Figure 6-2 shows the particle diameter distribution of In2MoO4: EU phosphors sintered at 1000 C. It can be seen from the figure that the particle size of the phosphor prepared by the experiment is normal distribution, the average particle diameter is about 2.5 μ m, this particle diameter is beneficial to the fabrication of LED luminescent device.

In2: SEM of EU. It can be seen that the surface of the sample is very close to the spherical shape, and the average particle size is less than 3 μ m, and the result is roughly the same.
